This Honomu repaint was a true testament to patience, precision, and craftsmanship. The clients entrusted us with not only upgrading the color scheme but also performing meticulous prep work on the cement board ceilings throughout the home. We carefully scraped and sanded back filler to reveal all joints, delivering the crisp and clean aesthetic they envisioned. The home itself, with its modern architecture and stunning coastal backdrop, made this project uniquely special. Over the course of 40 days, we tackled various surfaces and color applications with care, ensuring every detail was executed flawlessly. With extreme coastal weather in mind, we followed the owners’ request for proper prep work, reinforcing their home’s durability while achieving a smooth, lasting finish

We recently completed a stunning residential exterior repaint, completely revitalizing the home with a fresh and carefully selected color scheme. Our process focused on achieving sharp, crisp lines and precise detailing, ensuring a flawless finish that enhances the home’s architecture. Unlike many painters in Hawaii, we take the extra step of cutting in trim edges with the trim color, rather than wall color like most local practices. This technique results in a cleaner, more refined look, making the trim stand out with definition rather than blending unevenly into the walls. With meticulous craftsmanship, attention to detail, and premium materials, this home now boasts a vibrant, long-lasting exterior that truly shines.

This project ignited our passion for wood restoration, and every detail was executed with precision to highlight the home's natural beauty. The exterior was finished with Sikkens Stain, ensuring a rich, lasting tone, while the interior received a flawless coat of Deft Polyurethane for a smooth, protective finish. The newly built garage was a standout, with its eaves and fascia treated with a transparent redwood stain and sealed with Sikkens Natural tone—maintaining the home's cohesive, warm aesthetic. Every surface was meticulously sanded twice, first to scuff previous coatings and smooth new tongue-and-groove wood, then again between the second and third coats for a refined finish. As with all our Sikkens projects, we followed the essential three-coat process: a prime coat followed by two finish coats to enhance durability and richness. The result? A silky-smooth, easy-to-maintain finish that perfectly complements the home's striking architecture. This was a rewarding and exciting project, and we took immense pride in bringing out the best in every inch of wood.

This project was a testament to collaboration and craftsmanship, as we stepped in mid-process to bring the client’s vision to life. The ceilings and walls, adorned with natural wood tones, received three coats of Polyurethane, ensuring a smooth, durable finish that enhances the richness of the wood grain. As with all our staining and clear coating projects, we meticulously sanded each surface initially and again between the second and third coats, refining every detail for a flawless result. The trend of incorporating black alongside natural wood was brilliantly executed here, creating a modern yet warm aesthetic that complements the home's architecture. Though the full transformation is best appreciated with before-and-after photos, this glimpse into the project showcases the dedication and precision behind every stroke.
